L'appel des braises
Charles-Alexis Desgagnés
Charles-Alexis Desgagnés, choreographer, performer and finalist of the show Révolution in 2018, reveals himself and abandons himself in a vibrant solo: L'appel des braises.
On stage, it is his presence and his incredible ability to inhabit the space that first strikes us. From modulations to tensions of bodily states, he pushes his limits. In the time of a dream, we witness the transformation, the journey of a being who reinvents himself and ultimately seeks to emancipate himself from codes and identities. This virtuoso score, where conversations on solitude and our part of divinity are skillfully intertwined, takes us into a stimulation of lights and costumes. Alternating dizzying vulnerability and a viscerally animal physicality, this unpredictable dance experience places us in a place where the heart lets the body take over the mind.
