Jossua Satinée & Stacey Désilier
Originally from Montreal, Jossua Satinée and Stacey Désilier first developed parallel paths in dance before reconnecting at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, where a deep artistic bond emerged. Rooted in hip-hop culture, they cultivate a practice where urban dance forms intersect with personal archives and choreographic research.

Nicknamed the “Twins in Black,” they have nurtured over the years an almost cosmic adelphity that fuels their shared artistic language. Recognizing themselves in one another, they refine a physical writing attentive to diasporic heritage, memory, and invisibilized narratives.
Both performers and choreographers, they develop a sensitive and engaged practice where the intimate meets the political. Their first creation, Braids & Heritage, explores transmission and shifting identities through a dance that is embodied, vibrant, and athletic—where references intersect and invite us to question our contemporary world.
