CAPAS and Parbleux are proud to announce its collaboration with choreographer Thea Patterson for the presentation of her work un-nevering, co-produced by the FTA.
How can we be together even when we are not—especially and particularly through the veil of loss that seems so (in)finite? This is the question asked by Thea Patterson—an artist supported by Parbleux—in un-nevering, a sensitive work that explores the porosity between disciplines, to be presented at the Festival TransAmériques (FTA) on from May 30 to June 3, 2025.
A hybrid artist, Thea Patterson belongs to a line of choreographers who invented a new vocabulary inspired by installation and performance, inviting the audience to rethink the spectacularity of dance. With un-nevering, she redefines the concept of togetherness and creates a new cohabitation between the absent and the present. For her first participation at FTA, she chose to call on CAPAS to represent her and ensure the representation of her work among presenters from all horizons.
This collaboration is an opportunity for our label to reaffirm our commitment to support and accompany demanding approaches, and to question boundaries—at a time when so many barriers are being erected—by working for strong choreographic signatures that place dance, gesture, and movement at the heart of unbreakable bonds. It also relies on a common conviction of CAPAS and Parbleux: supporting artists should not be limited to a rigid artistic line, but should be based on the richness of a network of contacts, collaborations, and diverse expertise. By combining their strengths, and defending a sensitive, radical artistic vision that addresses questions both intimate and universal, the two organizations show that it is possible to transcend traditional artistic compartmentalizations to build a more agile, open, and inclusive ecosystem. This project highlights the complementarity of the two organizations, each working in its own way for the strategic development of the artist: Parbleux supports the artist as delegated producer, while CAPAS looks after everything regarding touring and representation. This first collaboration embodies the shared vision of the alliance: to offer complete and tailored support for ambitious artistic projects and defend dance and movement as they evolve.
Thea Patterson will be represented at the FTA by Mickaël Spinnhirny and Charlotte Beaussier who will lend her their knowledge and passion for the performing arts.
