Les corps avalés
Compagnie Virginie Brunelle
With resilience and hope in the background, Les corps avalés explores power dynamics, inequalities and social disorder.
Mastering the delicate balance between expressiveness and vigorous physicality of gestural language, the choreographer brings seven dancers to depict a humanity on edge, in search of softness and solidarity. On stage, the Molinari Quartet delivers selected works from the contemporary repertoire. The notes intrude into the smallest parts of the performers' bodies; they animate, amplify, inspire movement. Disarray, chaos and torment are thus sublimated.
