Murmuration
Le Patin Libre
Fascinating in their precision, enthusiasm, and virtuosity, the artists of Patin Libre now number 15 and are still as swift on their skates! Here they are, following in the footsteps of flocks of birds. It's high-flying, dizzying skating.
They glide, they glide, sweeping us into their wildest dreams. Far from the glitz and glamour, the gentle rebels of Patin Libre have elevated a discipline to the status of contemporary stage art. Their new ice work, created from simple algorithms complicated by new variables, draws inspiration from the mysterious phenomenon of Murmurations – those mesmerizing aerial ballets. Micro-movements and changes in direction create a domino effect that alters the group's trajectory, with everyone, antennae up, constantly on alert. In doing so, they explore the dynamic interactions of harmonious and exhilarating coexistence. An adrenaline rush for the whole family!
